Self Care: Morning Skincare Routine

The skin is the largest organ in your body. It’s important to take care of it and to know what kinds of chemicals you are putting on your skin. Check the ingredients on the personal care products that you use (deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, makeup, lotion, toothpaste, lipstick, Chapstick, etc.) and see if they contain any of the ingredients on the “never“ list. If they do, you should throw those items out. Even though you may think the small amount of toxins in those products are negligible, think about how many of those items you put on your skin daily. Now multiply that amount by 365 days a year, times your age. That is a lot of unnecessary exposure to dangerous chemicals and toxins. I understand that there are toxins and chemicals everywhere, but why not control what you can and limit your exposure whenever possible. Especially if you can get the same quality of product using natural ingredients or less toxic ingredients.

That is why I became a Beautycounter consultant. I wanted to educate people on the importance of knowing what they put on their bodies. I also wanted to help provide a solution by having products that I could recommend for people to swap out. I also love that Beautycounter fights for better skin care legislation and is constantly contacting Congress to advocate for a better skin care laws.

Now that you know a little bit more about Beautycounter, let me share with you my morning skin care routine. I do this every morning and it helps my skin to feel hydrated, radiant, and soft. You can purchase all of the products listed by clicking this link.
